FSU’s department of interior architecture and design has been one of the top interior design colleges for more than four decades. The program was ranked third in CollegeRank’s 2022 list of best colleges for interior design. Part of Florida State’s College of Fine Arts, this program takes a human-centered approach to interior design, teaching students how to build functional and sustainable environments that have a positive and equitable impact on the world around them. While most students need four years of full-time learning to earn their degree, students looking to graduate early may find an accelerated program. Designed for the working professional, it is the only Master of Interior Architecture Program in the nation that can be pursued on a part time basis to accommodate those with other full-time commitments.

This year's rankings have introduced an Economic Mobility Index, which measures the economic status change for low-income students. ACT/SAT scores have been removed from rankings to reflect a general de-emphasis on test scores in the college admissions process.
